Last week my school has special trip for all the exchange students to have free city tour. Indeed we can finish the city in 2 hours walking. If she have not been stopping maybe 1 hour is enough see the whole city or even bern. The city has 12 fountain which has figure about the story of bern. Last time the city do not have water in the house, so each morning woman will collect the water from the fountain. Anyway the water in swiss is contain lots of oxygen. U can see the bubble when u put the water in the glass. Bern have very neat building structure, all in grey, grey, grey.

I visited on the place where they make cheese. Surprisingly to make a cheese it require lots of milk. Where they have to cook and compress it. Every week swiss farmers will delivered their milk to here. It reached for few tons of milk every week which I think is amazing. I mean.. poor cow. They have to squeeze that cow's breast till dry. =( sob for u cow.

After which we get the free cheese buffet. I tell u. Its awful! haha. But for the people there, the sour it is, the better it is. Horrible, and we are the asian is starving. They only serve; bread, cheese, fruits. Water? Pay! So we all end up eat lots of fruits, which have to be cut by your self. Like some european took the pineapple! and cut it. I dunno how they do it!!
It was on Valentine when I visited here. And it was my first time to see snow flake!!!!!!!
Omg. no all snow will form snow flake. Normally at the mountain places then u will find it because the air is cleaner.

This is a feast from one of my friend's friends bday, which I dont even know whose the bday boy name. But what is more important is eating together. Come on, they have all the delicious food like sotong, prawn, which I will go crazy for. I really miss my seafood and chicken. Everything is so expensive here. The cheapest things are BREAD. So if u want to save money, just eat bread lor. haha. But I really have wonderful meal that night and have good chat with the girls. Somemore their hostel got TV. so good. Mine only got the old radio.

Gurten, is the closest mountain probably when u can see the city and alps very beautifuly. When we went there, it was so windy. All of us were chilling and run towards this beautiful mansion which is restaurant inside and called mmmhhh... interesting. Since everything is covered in snow, we could see people making the love sign. Nice mark.

Interlaken is a must visit place when you are in swiss. Is where the top of europe, Jungfraujoch. It was heavily snow that day and we didnt get to ski. So we play sledging instead. It was really fun because the sledging is downward the BIG mountain. Like longgggggg slope... thrilling and wonderful!


Today is warmer than the normal day. Its 0 -1 degree. Normally it was -5 to as low as -16. I'm quite sad I wont be seeing anymore snow.

This is how the uni of bern main building looks like. They have many building seperately other than this and its all over the city. Compare to SMU, uni of Bern is so much more confusing. And the different school are located very far from each other. goSh!

The school is celebrating its 175 years this year. I love their main door, which is big and its AUTO! It looks like a door in the harry porter show. Can open by itself.

The view outside my uni is quite awesome. Can see all the mountainous views. And even this naked tree looked beautiful with the snow patches around.


The friends whom I always cook dinner with, Meiyi and Weisan. Okay like Meiyi said, we looks like a lump in the clothing. I somehow feel that way.

My friends said bern normally do not snow as much as this year. And I was quite lucky to be able to enjoy the snowing period because thats what's missing in Indonesia and Singapore apparenly. I was so eager to show to everyone about the falling snow because it was really beautiful. I looked it from my window. Out of curiousity, I open the window and try to catch the snow. It was like the ice from ice kacang. I ate it. haha.

It was so dark even it is about 8 o clock in the morning. The white spot is the falling snow. The whole street was filled with snow. It has been snowing since night till morning and it only stop at about 5pm on Sunday. I didnt go to church because of that. The snow and dont know how to go. This week we'll contact the cell leader for direction. Hopefully I can go to church this week. 

It looked so beautiful when snowy. Everything is white. And, with the sky reflection, it was actually quite blue. Though I am just a window glass away, they looked like fairy tale.

Today, is a bright sky! with little sunlight entering the window of my room. And I do my laundry for today. I love it. They got this drying machine which dry your clothes immediately after wash! So cool. I dont even need to hang it to dry it. At first I was worried as it might take days to dry with this weather. At the basement of my hostel, there are laundry and music room. The old piano is hidden there, I played it for fun just now. It is a little scary but with no one around, its perfect. 

I went to city today to get some groceries and accompanying my new friend from sg, Mei Yi, to buy groceries and sim card. 

Took the picture below at the train station. Here is all about bread and pizza. Asian ingredient and food are really expensive. The products are all written in german. So I dont really understand what we are buying. Like we were very lost when searching for butter. Alot of cheese, magarine, etc look like the butter.

I never thought probably the farewell has been quite a touch memory to have especially when I am in Swiss now. My first day obviously, I had no friend. Though I was being introduce by a friend from Singapore, but she totally forgotten to fetch me during my arrival. But its okay.

So eventually I travelled by myself, from Singapore, Doha, Zurich, Bern, to my house.

By plane and train with my luggage which is very unfriendly to carry around with. Although I am afraid in my little heart to go around and lost myself, but its truly is adventure. I am so proud of myself to be able to reach safely.

Even when I reached at the hostel, no one welcome me. I just press the machine for the key. Then I find my own room and try to go in with that room. Really strange. And my mouth is so dry for not talking to people for almost 24 hours except "hi, excuse me, thank you". Live without no one is SUCKS!

I am quite happy with my room. Very Nice. Only not enough light. Table facing the window, which I always wanted. Lots of shelf and shelf behind the bed with sleeping lamp. Totally thank God for the perfect room! 

My neighbour mate, knock on my door before I even admiring my room. 

Her name is Beysa, a Turkish woman, doing her Phd while working in some reseach. Friendly and looks very mature compare to myself. I am sharing Bath room with her which is just outside my room. Toilet and shower are seperated. After brief introduction, I excuse myself as I really tired of the long journey. 

Suddenly I felt so alone. So I took my bible and read till I fall asleep.
