Hidden Thought
You are beautiful

In SMU I have a few foreign professors. They come from America, Japan, UK, China, and etc. I’m beginning to enjoy the different style of teaching from different professor and especially, their point of view.
There is one of my prof teaching me Analytical Skill. He is American. So this prof was explaining about Venn Diagram concept by using example.
He said, “No fat Singaporean”. We had a good laugh about this but at the same times it strike me about his point of view.
In fact, it is almost true that in Singapore, you could hardly see fat people around. I find it quite weird. Singapore is a rich country with a high living standard. If you are comparing with developing countries like Indonesia, Africa, India, etc, it is make sense if the majority of people there are skinny. The large number of people could be malnutrition, hunger, and no appetite due to sickness, but how about Singaporean??
We agreed that Singaporean lifestyle is identical to the entire resident in Singapore. I believe one of the main reasons that there is no fat Singaporean is because of the lifestyle they have. In Singapore, you could hardly find the wife/woman be the housewife. A high standard of living does not balance with the income received. As the result, nobody take care of the house work. Nobody cook, nobody wash, nobody in the house that can help you unless you are rich enough to hire a maid.
Due to that, Singaporean would rather skip their breakfast, or even lunch, just because they are too lazy to cook, or to buy food. Some people also believe that to buy food home is cheaper that you cook yourself because you don’t have to waste time and effort to wash, cook, and clean.
Secondly, the advertising concept of “skinny mean beautiful”, is the image of Singaporean have. The advertising does a good job changing all these people mindset and creating a whole new image of beautiful. What I believe is that people making this image for their intention of making people buying the products, to make you slim, to make u think u look beautiful when u are skinny… bla bla bla. But in fact, I don’t really think that “skinny mean beautiful”.
For me, healthy is beautiful!! When you are healthy, it is because you are happy and definitely when you are happy you look beautiful.
** HAPPY = HEALTHY = BEAUTIFUL
ps: This is just my 2 cent worth of thought. I don’t mean to offend anyone at all.

Happy New Year to everyone.
I believe this year is going to be a better year for me and everyone. Though last year is good enough, this year would be so much better! Amen! hehe..
As usual I begin my year in the church where me and my family celebrated 1 Jan 2007, 00:00:00 at the church. Then in the afternoon, losta my big family, friends, came to visit my house and eat our favourite food all the time! The Opor!! and sambal tao cho! Yahooii.. Everyone is addicted with this food, coz they confirm come to taste this food once a year in our home. hehe.. unbeatable delicious! Oh ya I got to meet my lovely cousin. I quite miss her after sometimes didnt meet her. A real good family gathering. I hope to visit her at Java again during my summer holiday! hehee.. but hopefully I can get intership job.
Then at night I went for body massage! Ah.. it feels so great to stay in Batam can always go to massage. It is not cheap, but it is very cheap if you compare to singapore massage shop. I normally never miss to go to massage whenever I went back to Batam.
Ah.. before I went back Singapore, I do house shopping, buy all the neccesity for the house. I feel like a maid whenever I am back to Singapore. Clean house, wash clothing, starving hehe.. but actually I kinda like it. Cause it feel like a housewife. A smart housewife!! Hahahaha..
This year, I want to walk my life in peace and righteousness.
ps: Forgive me..
End of Year 2006 with Korea

When everyone already talked about New Year,
I am going to talk from last year december event. Haha.. due to my late update.
I get to work in HP to help them install some program to MOM computers. Thanks to Jialing cause this job give a good pay! $12/hr (maybe for me is a good pay, for unskill labour like me). The work is fun cause we had a good time exploring the rooms inside. Some pretty interesting sight I saw on the staff's table are toothbrush, toothpaste, lotion, mirror, food and more food,..
I was told that ladies in the office always brush their teeth after lunch, if you dont, ppl will think you are weird. And food? wondering the boss wont scold them when they eat their tibbits during office hours??
The person in charge of us are very kind towards my team. They fed us food like nobody business. I just never seen such a good boss like them(they are more than 1 boss) coz they treated as like a small kid. I guess it would be different if we worked for them for full time.
After hard work from the job, I went Korea for my family holiday. The trip was almost cancel because my sister happened to lost her passport when we did last minutes shopping. Lucky God is kind enough to make miracle happened. She found her hand bag at the fitting room where she tried clothing. We shopped at Vivocity, the crowds was terrible but we needed to buy some winter clothes to prepare for the unusual temperature.
The warmest temperature when I visited Korea is -2 Celcius degree and coolest is -18 Celcius degree. Ah.. it was the best experience to be able to see snow and feel the coolness of winter. Come to think about it, I am happy to live in tropical country! I was wearing 3-4 clothes and it was so heavy to walk here and there. And the cold temperature, make you feel sleepy easily. And worse still, it cause you to have a great appetite because food make you warm. I put on weight 3-4 kg when I am back. hahahaa.. wondering why Korea's girl still so slim?? They eat Kimchi everyday, I don't. I ate pork in my entire trip for my breakfast, lunch and dinner cause that is the only meet they have on the table for me. :(
The ski games is fantastic. Well at least I know how to slide and climb. Haha.. I was sweating while playing. It was freezing there but I was sweating coz I non-stop playing with the skii.. Ah to exercise at the winter time, wont make you feel tired coz it is cooling.
I cannot upload the photo coz i left it at Batam. Maybe when I have it then I upload it. In the mean time, just imagine the picture. Hehehe.. me and the snow.
Happy Belated Christmas to everyone.
